The article “Is Migration a basic Human Rights?,” host by Stephen J. Dubner and produced by Arwa Gunja is a Freakonomics radio podcast. Radio host Stephen J. Dubner interview few economists to explain how migration affect country economics. Economists interview by Stephen were themselves an immigrant, or immigrant descendant.
Argument about “open” borders is very compelling because it affects country’s economic. Immigration is also a major talking points of 2016 US Presidential Race and some Presidential candidate wants to build a wall to close a border.
In class we talked about the reason migration occurs and its effects on new environments, and in this podcast, people discuss about the reason the immigrant to US. For example, economist Naveen immigrant from Egypt in 2013 because of religious persecution.
